I am using pokerstars. The HUD isn't displayed on the poker table...but it shows up, in order, overlaying my computer desktop. When I click leave table, the HUD reappears until I click yes or no (clicking no removes the HUD again)

Does that happen every time you play and with every table? I've seen this happening sometimes and restarting the live tracker has helped on most occasions.

It used to happen only when I would resize the window, but now it happens every time I open a new table. I use vista if that helps.

I used to be able to close the game, reopen the table and the HUD would reappear...that is not happening lately, the default is to the desktop.

Does restarting PE or the live tracker change anything?

If you send a screen shot of your desktop when this happens as well as the poker_evolver.log file from 'logs' directory under Poker Evolver installation directory, then I can check if I find anything that helps. You can send the files to support(at)pokerevolver.com.

This happens to me all the time, not on Pokerstars though. I play from Eurobet so that is the ongame network.

I play around 4 tables of cash game usually and occasionally the HUD actually stays on the tables for the whole session but that is very rare. At some point the huds start dropping to overlay the desktop, not the table.

I can get the HUD back on the table by minimizing the table and clicking the hud numbers on my desktop once and after that they will again be "on top" so that they will overlay the table instead.

I don't know why I haven't come to report this before.. I've gotten used to clicking the dropping huds and they always come back for a while at least. There seems to be no logic as far as I can see to when the huds start dropping to desktop and why.

Hopefully there will be an "always on top" improvement for the hud so I don't have to screw with it all the time. As I said occasionally it works very well for longer periods but usually the HUD's start dropping at some point. How often and how many of my table huds start dropping varies a lot. They rarely all drop at the same time, it has happened a few times but almost always it's one or some of them at a time.

Also one more thing.. restarting PE or the Live Tracking option does help, but it's just a slower way of getting the HUD back compared to just clicking them on the desktop. No difference otherwise.

Thank you for sharing this information with us Technomage. I think your "fixing method" might help a bit to find out the cause for this odd behavior. The HUD is set to overlay the tables and should stay that way, but obviously for some unknown reason that fails sometimes.
