|

Hi,
I sent an email to support on this matter a few minutes ago, but thought I would share it in the forum since I haven't seen it addressed yet. I just downloaded the program this morning and every time I try to start it, it checks for updates and says that it can not connect to the update server, I have not even been able to register the program because it won't go past the update stage. I initially downloaded the program before installing the .NET Framework and thought that might be the reason. I then uninstalled, reinstalled, and got the same result. I then redownloaded and still got the same problem. I tried repairing the software and still can't get past the update portion. As soon as it says it can't connect to the update server I get a message that if this continues I need to restart the program or contact support. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated. _________________ Steve Badger: “Wanting everything is the quickest way to having nothing that I know.” |

| Installing the software before the .NET framework shouldn't cause problems with connecting to the update server. Best thing to do is to check that your firewall is not blocking the connection. |

Just to see if I can post without my proxy. _________________ Steve Badger: “Wanting everything is the quickest way to having nothing that I know.” |

The problem turned out to be my proxy which I disabled. As for my firewall, the first thing it asked me was if I wanted to authorize the software, which I did, and it has not been a problem. Everything seems to be running smoothly.
I would also like to state that it only took approximately twenty minutes from the time I had the problem and emailing support before I had a reply and got the software to run properly. Excellent. Thanks. _________________ Steve Badger: “Wanting everything is the quickest way to having nothing that I know.” |

| Thanks for posting the solution to the forum. We will add proxy support to our to-do list. |
