Poker Evolver is a tool for online poker players. It is designed to help you improve your poker skills and gain edge against other players. With Poker Evolver you are able to earn more money.
Poker Evolver automatically collects data when you are playing online poker. From collected data Poker Evolver calculates many helpful statistics for players. These statistics inform you about your opponents' playing habits and about your current table image. Poker Evolver also saves every hand to a database so you can watch played hands again afterwards and learn from your good decisions as well as from your mistakes.
Since Poker Evolver updates itself automatically when new versions of the software are available, it always requires updates during the first run. Therefore you need to be connected to the internet when you first start Poker Evolver. If internet connection is not available, Poker Evolver will not run on first launch.
On the first launch evaluation version of Poker Evolver will be installed. You have to register Poker Evolver to install the full version of the software.

Note: If the OK-button on the registration form is disabled after you have entered the registration code it means that the code you have entered is not correct. In this case you should carefully check that you have written the right characters to the form. The zeros and the o-characters can be tricky to tell apart sometimes.
This section provides a very brief overview of the Poker Evolver application.
Poker Evolver automatically collects data while you are playing. Automatic collection of data from played poker hands requires the following:
You can also import old hand history data to Poker Evolver using File / Import Hand History Files. See Import Hand History Files for more details.
You can review your played hands from Texas Hold'em Analysis window.
From the launch panel you can launch other modules of Poker Evolver. Launch panel is the main control center of the software.
This section contains information and help about the menu of Poker Evolver Launch Panel.
Poker Evolver System tray icon is always visible. You can find it from the right corner of Windows Taskbar.
Launch panel can be opened by double clicking the Poker Evolver system tray icon.
With right mouse click of system tray icon you can open a menu which lets you quickly open other windows or quit the application. You can also access settings from this menu.
Texas Hold'em Analysis window helps you analyze your own and your opponents' game and habits. This module is designed to be used while you are not playing. By reading statistics you are able to find leaks in your game and learn from your mistakes. You are also able to review your played hands.
In the overview tab you are able to see some basic statistics of selected player. This should give you a good overall picture of the player.
Winnings graph shows winnings of selected player.
In the sessions tab you see statistics for sessions played by selected player. A session in Poker Evolver means a series of hands played in one table without long pauses.
In the positions tab you are able to see statistics of selected player grouped by position. This is very crucial information especially for No-Limit Hold'em players.
In the starting hands tab you are able to see statistics of selected player grouped by starting hands. With these statistics you are able to see for example which are your winning hands and which are your losing hands.
In the upper part of the Texas Hold'em Analysis window are filters which you can set to filter the statistics.
The most important filter is Player filter which selects a player whose statistics are shown in the tabs.
With the date filter you can select a time period from which statistics are calculated. Date filter consists of start date and end date. These can be unset by clicking the text field of the filter and clicking Any button in the upper part of the small calendar window which opened. When date filter is set to ANY, it means that statistics are not filtered by it.
In the Hand Browser window you can look through hand histories of played hands. From hand histories you can learn from your own and your opponents' mistakes and improve your play. Hand browser can be accessed from most statistics tabs of the Texas Hold'em Analysis and Bankroll management windows by double-clicking a statistics row.
By double-clicking a row from a table of statistics the Hand Browser opens up showing a list of hands that are related to the statistics row. For example, if you have your own hands from last week filtered on the positions tab and you double-click on the row that shows statistics for button seat, you'll get every hand from last week that was played from the button to open up in Hand Browser.
Hand Browser shows the hands that were selected with a double-click as a list and provides some details for each individual hand, like the hand number and pocket cards for example. By clicking on any of the hands in the list you'll get the related hand history shown along with more details.
All details are shown and calculated for the player who was selected when Hand Browser was opened. In Texas Hold'em Analysis window the selected player means the player selected from the player filter and in Bankroll management window it is the same player whose winnings are calculated for a session.
If there is plenty of hands in the hand browser, hands are shown at multiple pages. Currently visible page can be changed using the arrow buttons or the drop-down menu located above the list of hands.
Note: Changing the filters afterwards does not affect the hands shown in the Hand Browser. If you want to look through a different set of hands you'll need to select those hands by double-clicking a statistics row like described above.
Bankroll Management gives you tools for proper bankroll management which is essential for winning poker players. Bankroll management consists of accounts which can be created, edited and deleted through accounts tab. A player can be associated to an account to automatically track bankroll of that player.
Overview tab gives an overall picture of bankroll. See defitinions section to get help with statistics.
From accounts tab you can manage your accounts. You can create new accounts, change information of previously created accounts, delete accounts, transfer money between accounts and see balances and activities of each account. By selecting an account you can see all transactions made to the account. Transactions involve game sessions and money transfers. The hands played in certain poker sessions can also be accessed.
An existing account can be edited by double clicking it on the accounts list or by clicking right mouse button over it and selecting Edit...
An account can be deleted by clicking right mouse button over it and selecting Delete... Deleting an account does not alter the hands imported to the database, but it will delete custom game sessions related to the account. Money transfers that targeted the deleted account will be marked targeting an account outside poker bankroll.
An existing session can be edited by double clicking it on accounts tab or by clicking right mouse button over it and selecting Edit...
A session can be deleted by clicking right mouse button over it and selecting Delete...
You can view the individual hands of a certain session in Hand Browser by right-clicking a session and selecting Show hands in Hand Browser... from the menu that opens up.
Note: Individual hands can be viewed for only the sessions imported to Poker Evolver through hand histories or live tracking. Selecting a session you have created manually in this way will not cause anything to happen.
You can transfer money between accounts or in and out of your poker bankroll by clicking the Transfer Money button.
The Transfer Money button will open a dialog where you can set up the money transfer. If you want to target some other account than the accounts you have created earlier, you can choose Outside of bankroll as the source or destination of the transfer.
If the transfer had a fee, you can define it through the dialog. This fee will be reduced from the source account of the transfer in addition to the money that will be transferred.
If the transfer is done between accounts that use different currencies, the dialog lets you specify the exact exchange rate and shows what the amount will be in the currency of the target account.
The dialog lets you also mark the money transfer as pending if the arrival date of the money is not yet known. This will cause the money transfer to show in the account statement as pending and is always dated to the next midnight until the pending status of the transfer is removed.
Any field of a money transfer can be edited later by right-clicking on a money transfer in the account statement and selecting Edit... This way you can for example remove the pending status of a transfer.
You can change the exchange rates of currencies by clicking the Exchange Rates button. The rates are shown and must be typed in relation to dollar. This means that the rate for the euro is the exchange rate of converting dollars into euros and the rate for pound is the rate of converting dollars into British pounds.
With the Currency drop down list you can choose the currency that you want to view your bankroll in. This selection only changes the displayed values and does not change the data itself.

Every player has a statistics box in the HUD like the one in the screenshot above.
From the statistics you can interpret your opponents' characteristics while playing.
The statistics box has four stats as a default, but it can hold up to six stats which can be freely selected from the settings.
Live analysis window can be used alongside with HUD while playing to get more detailed statistics of players. In live analysis window it is easier to compare players using certain statistics because you are able to sort players in desired order by clicking the column headers.

To make the live tracking work on a poker client of 24h network, do the following:
This section contains definitions of terms used in Poker Evolver.
3-bet (three-bet) is third bet/raise action on a street. On pre-flop this means a re-raise after the first raise. On later streets 3-betting means a re-raise after a bet and a raise.
Example of 3-betting on pre-flop: Player on the button raises after other players has been folded, small blind folds, big blind re-raises. Big Blind 3-betted.
Example of 3-betting on flop: Player in early position bets, next player raises, button re-raises. Button 3-betted.
(raises + bets) / calls. Aggressive players have high aggression factor and passive players have low aggression factor.
The standard deviation of earnings per session. This shows how much variation there is in your resulted winnings of sessions played when compared to your average earnings per session. If you sometimes win a lot and other times loose a lot then this standard deviation will be higher but if you for example usually win roughly the same amount of money on a session then this standard deviation will be small.
The formula used to calculate standard deviation of earnings is the following:
(times when 3-betted pre-flop) / (times when possibility to 3-bet on pre-flop)
(times when 4-betted pre-flop) / (times when possibility to 4-bet on pre-flop)
Percentage that shows how often a player has folded to 3-bet when he/she has been the original raiser (2-bettor).
Mathematical formula:
(times when folded to 3-bet and is the original raiser) / (times when faced 3-bet and is the original raiser)
Example when player is folding to 3-bet:
On the pre-flop a player on middle position raises (2-bets), next player re-raises (3-bets),
other players fold. Now the original raiser folds.
The original player on middle position is calculated to be folded to 3-bet because he is the original raiser,
faced a 3-bet and folded.
Example when a player is not folding to 3-bet:
On the pre-flop a player on middle position raises, next player re-raises, player on the button folds.
The player on the button is not calculated to be folded to 3-bet (altough he faced a 3-bet)
because he is not the original raiser.
Percentage that shows how often a player has folded to 4-bet when he/she has been the original re-raiser (3-bettor).
Mathematical formula:
(times when folded to 4-bet and is the original re-raiser) / (times when faced 4-bet and is the original re-raiser)
Example:
On the pre-flop a player on middle position raises (2-bets), next player re-raises (3-bets),
other players fold, but the player on the big blind re-raises (4-bets). The player on middle
position and the player after him both fold. Both of them faced a 4-bet, but only
the re-raiser (3-bettor) is considered to have folded to a 4-bet.
Percentage that shows how often the player has raised on the pre-flop.
Mathematical formula:
(hands where raised pre-flop / total hands).
Risk of ruin shows the probability of loosing your entire bankroll assuming that your hourly win rate and hourly standard deviation remain constant and are accurate. In reality both of these change and it may take many thousand hands before the win rate is accurate, but it still gives a reasonable estimate of your risk of ruin.
The formula used to calculate the risk of ruin is the following:
Win rate confidence is the percentage showing the chance that your true win rate is within a given range from current calculated win rate.
The win rate confidence range can be changed from settings and is always in the currency selected from the currency drop down list next to the exchange rates button. This means that if you have the confidence range set to 5 as is the default and you are viewing your bankroll in USD, then the win rate confidence shows the likelihood that your true win rate is within 5 dollars per hour from the calculated win rate.
The standard deviation of win rate. Simply put this shows how much your win rate usually varies while playing. You can expect your win rate to not differ from the calculated hourly win rate more than this value in either way 68% of the time. For example, if your win rate is $10 per hour and your standard deviation is $70 per hour, then while playing your win rate will be something between -$60 per hour and $80 per hour roughly two thirds of the time.
The formula used to calculate the win rate standard deviation is the following:
